The Ashinaga Internship Program is a prestigious global internship opportunity offered by the Ashinaga Foundation, a Japan-based international non-profit organization dedicated to supporting educational access and leadership development for young people who have lost one or both parents or whose caregivers are unable to work due to disability. The foundation’s work spans multiple continents and focuses on empowering disadvantaged students through scholarships, mentoring, and community support. Ashinaga Foundation offers internship opportunities twice a year, in the Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter terms.
The Ashinaga Internship Program is designed to equip interns with practical skills and professional experience within a multicultural environment. Interns at Ashinaga can gain a variety of skills and gain invaluable experiences through the program. It runs in two main cycles each year—Spring-Summer and Fall-Winter—with each term lasting roughly 10 weeks and an optional extension period depending on team needs and intern performance. Interns are part of diverse teams within Ashinaga, contributing to areas such as student relations, recruitment, international marketing, data and systems, and educational support programs.
Join Ashinaga Foundation – a Japanese non-profit organization providing financial support and emotional care to young people around the world who have lost either one or both parents, or whose parents have a disability that prevents them from working sufficiently.
Ashinaga offers flexible working arrangements to accommodate interns worldwide. Participants based outside Japan can work fully remotely, while those located in Japan may be offered hybrid or in-person placements at the Tokyo headquarters, although interns must arrange their own visas and accommodation.The Spring-Summer 2026 term takes place from 11 May to 31 July 2026, with a possible extension until late September.
